Ivy Lawrence leads the Board of Lascelles Employees & Partners Co-operative Credit Union.

Mrs. Lawrence has over 20 years combined experience in Forensic Accounting, Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance.

During her career, she has worked extensively in the areas of compliance and risk management.

She is currently the Compliance Manager at Guardian General Insurance Jamaica and previously worked at the Financial Investigation Division.

Owen Dillon

Mr. Dillon served as President for the then Nestle Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union and previously served as President from 2001 to present.  He also served as Vice President from 2000 – 2001 and director from 1999 – 2000.  

He was employed to Nestle Jamaica Limited for 44.75 years in the Production and Engineering Department as an Industrial Mechanic. He is presently enjoying a well deserving retirement.

Richard Hutchinson

Mr. Huchinson served as Treasurer/Manager of the former Nestle Jamaica Co-op Credit Union Limited and had severed on its board since 2011.

He is a Human Resource Specialist at Musson International Dairies Limited and is presently pursuing a Master’s of Science Degree in Computer Information System at the University of the West Indies.

He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Institute of Management and Production (I. M. P.), 2004, certificate in Management Studies from the University of West Indies, Mona (1990) and is a Certified A. S. T. D. Trainer.

Wayne Hardie

Treasurer

Wayne Hardie is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a past member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). As the Finance Director of the Company he has responsibility for accounting and investment operations.

Mr. Hardie is a graduate of Calabar High School and received overseas training for the purposes of his professional development in the insurance industry in Canada. He spent nearly 30 years with Globe Insurance Company of Jamaica Ltd. (and its predecessor entity, Globe Insurance Company of the West Indies Ltd.), prior to its acquisition by Guardian Group, where he was Financial Controller.

He subsequently joined Guardian General Insurance Company of Jamaica Limited where he was Associate Vice President, I.T., Risk and Compliance. Wayne is currently the Finance Director at the newly IronRock Insurance Ltd. He is no stranger to volunteerism at the Lascelles Credit Union, and continues to serve on the Board of Directors.

Sharon Jackson-Smith

Sharon Jackson-Smith has over 20 years in Management Accounting and Administration and she has served the credit union on the Finance Committee in the past.

Mrs. Jackson- Smith is currently the Finance Manager at Select Brands Limited and was previously employed to Lascelles Limited. She is also a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountant and has a degree in Accounting.

Her philosophy is you should “Help everyone you meet to be their best self”.

Sophia Bernard-Fairman

Sophia V. Bernard-Fairman is a marketing professional who has more than 25 years of experience spanning marketing and sales. She has worked across a number of industries including tourism and hospitality, distribution and branding.

She is currently the Regional Sales & Marketing Manager for J Wray & Nephew and has captured numerous performance awards over the years. She has an MBA in Marketing, and a B.Sc. in Hotel and Tourism Management both from the University of the West Indies, as well as a Diploma in Business Education from the University of Technology and a Certificate in Marketing from  the University of the West Indies School of Continuing Studies.

She enjoys growing orchids, music and travelling. Her motto is to “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”.

Michelle Bispott

Michelle Bispott is currently the Senior IT Manager of J Wray and Nephew Ltd where she has worked for the past 14 years.  Michelle has served on the Board of Directors before and is no stranger to the Credit Union.

Michelle has been an active Credit Union member since 2004 and is a champion of the credit union credo ‘people helping people’. 

 Mother of 2, she is an avid reader, environmentalist and enthusiastic urban farmer.  As a firm believer in the slogan ‘grow what you eat; eat what you grow’, in her spare time, she makes gourmet blends of teas and spices using her own locally grown, pesticide-free plants.

She will once again lend her expertise and insight to the Credit Union in the area of information technology.

Merline Smith

My name is Merline Smith attended the Camperdown High School in which my areas of study were the sciences and arts in which I excelled profoundly. I went on to further my education at The University of Technology, where I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Law.

My journey was not an easy one, however through determination, hard work, the support of my family and God. I was able to successfully complete my studies.
This I can say was one of my most cherished accomplishments.
I am currently employed at Guardian General Insurance in the capacity of Underwriting Associate.

My role entails reviewing proposal forms and most importantly determining if the proposed risk is suitable for coverage, also creating and dispatching policy contracts to external clients, liaising with both internal and external customers. Throughout my years, I have been acknowledged for my hard work with trophies and awards. I pride myself as a team player who understands the importance of collective teamwork and to lead and work on my own initiative.

My core passion is to help others in a meaningful way by providing coaching, mentoring, and counselling, especially to those in our society that are less fortunate. I also enjoy reading, singing, cooking, and spending time with my family and loved ones. I believe I have a creative mind that strives to be one with nature in a calm and soothing way.

I am a strong believer in God who is actively involved in church.
My faith has helped me to overcome many obstacles in my life’s journey, as such my philosophy is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

Rachel Harrison

Rachel Harrison
Has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Management Studies from the University of the West Indies and a Certificate in Principles and Practices of Project Management from the University of the West Indies Mona School of Business.

She is an aspiring Chartered Accountant who is currently the Senior Accounting Officer at Kingston Properties Limited and was previously employed to Advanced Integrated Systems. She enjoys music and travelling.

Sharon Smickle

Sharon has over 15 years of sound professional experience and knowledge in the field of Office Administration, Customer Service, Events Planning, Hospitality Training and development, and Project Management. I have proven track record of enhancing customer relationship within the financial, medical and manufacturing industry, while maintaining consistent and high-level performance in project developing, coordination and execution.

In 2015, I got the opportunity to work on a project, to develop, maintain, manage and trained all JWN Academy participants. The Academy is the training platform for J Wray and Nephew Sales and Marketing Department. To date the Academy was instrumental in training more than 5,000 job ready Bartenders, who are now gainfully employed throughout Jamaica. I am very detailed oriented individual, who is passionate about Learning and Development

Currently, I am aspiring to springboard my career in Training and Development and Human Resource Management.

I joined Sagicor Life Jamaica Toastmasters Club in 2014, to hone my skills in Public Speaking. I earned the Competent Communication (CC) and was recently awarded Triple Crown. I am currently going for Level 5 in Dynamic Leadership Pathways.

I now serve the club as Vice President Public Relations

I am a trained Mixologist and a facilitator in the field of Bar Operations Management and my hobbies are dancing, drama, gardening and yoga.

My personal mantra is: I Can, I Will, I Must. I believe God has a purpose for my life and I am excited to live in his purpose.

Angela Smith

Angela Smith,
FCCA, CIA, CISA, MSC, MBA

is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor. She holds a MSC in Information System and a BA in management studies from the University of the West Indies. She has been a practicing internal auditor for over thirty-five years. She has headed internal audit departments both locally and overseas. Her latest overseas assignment was to head the internal audit department for a local government authority within the African country of Botswana. Whilst working with the Government of Botswana she and a small select team developed the countries Risk Management Framework and Policy Document. She holds several certifications in enterprise risk management.

Her skills in accounting, finance and risk management is uniquely tailored to assist organizations in developing good governance practices; to assist organizations successfully grow and compete in constantly changing, highly competitive, emerging environments.

She currently heads the internal audit department at eGov Jamaica Limited.

Robert Walker

Robert is a Supply Chain and Finance professional with over 20 years’ experience in Logistics, Manufacturing and Finance. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounts and Finance and a Master of Business in Finance, both from the University of Technology.

He has a penchant for working with numbers, enjoys gardening, is an enthusiastic sports person who actively participates a game of basketball or football.

He serves as a Justice of the Peace and has a philosophy of  “Do it while you can”.

Keron Mais has over 20 years combined experience in Information &  Communications Technology, Project Management, Strategic Planning and Strategy Implementation.

Miss Mais is a Certified Project Management Professional holding a Master’s in Business Administration with Specialization in Strategy as well as a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and undergraduate studies in Electronics and Telecommunications.

She is currently a senior manager at NHF and previously worked at IBM in IT support.

Her passion is coaching, mentoring and counselling and with a focus on at risk youths and parenting.  

Lennon Clarke

Lennon Clarke has over 10 years combined experience in Business Administration and Sales with a first degree in Business Administration.

He is currently the Sales Manager at Nestle Jamaica Limited, he previously worked with Chancellor Insurance Agency. Having been a Credit Union Member for since 2011, his philosophy is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

Ricardo Hall

Ricardo Hall is currently the Global IT Senior Specialist Sales & Marketing in the IT Department of J Wray and Nephew where he has worked for the past 4 years.

Ricardo is a certified SAP Application Associate – Financial Accounting and Controlling and is currently pursuing being certified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Associate in SAP Sales and Distribution. 

He actively participates in a charity foundation, Pioneers of Hope.Ricardo is an avid reader in diverse topics, playing basketball, video games and listening to music. His motto is ‘Keep Moving Forward’.

Shana Spencer

Shana Spencer has been an Accounting professional with thirteen years of experience working with reputable entities. I am currently the Senior Accountant at Kingston Industrial Garage Limited for over 5years.

Ms. Spencer has a B.Sc. in Business administration majoring in Accounting and Finance from the University College of The Caribbean. I am currently pursing being certified as a Certified Public Accountant.
I believes that all things will work out for good as long as you believe and have faith in God.

I enjoy listening to motivational speaker, taking adventure and watching football. I lived by this statement daily “Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

Alicia Barton

Ms. Barton is a Human Resource Assistant at Cari-Med Group Limited for over three (3) years. Ms. Barton is a past student of Portmore Community College where she studied Human Resource Management. 

Ms. Barton worked in several positions at Federated Pharmaceutical where she was promoted to her core area of study at Cari-Med Group corporate office.

Vibrant, enthusiastic, and esteemed individual whose confidence stands grounded as a mountain goes by the mantra knowledge is limitless and it’s not enough until applied.

 

Cadine Davis

ASSISTANT SECRETARY

Mrs. Cadine Davis is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Cadine holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of the West Indies, Mona and has over sixteen (16) years’ experience in preparing financial statements, auditing businesses in the not-for-profit and service sectors and advising clients on the adoption of different accounting standards, policies and processes to bolster internal controls, mitigate risks and improve organizational performance.

She has been a member of the credit union since 2017.

Cadine previously worked as an accountant in the manufacturing, distribution, hotel and not-for-profit sectors.

Dwight Neil

I am a past student of Excelsior High School and holds a Master of Science in Enterprise Risk Management and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering both from The University of the West Indies.

I am currently employed to Guardian General Insurance Jamaica in the Technical Services Division in the Risk Department.
I am a strong believer in volunteerism and am striving to be like Christ.

Shannette Whyte-Millingen

Shannette Whyte-Millingen is a Human Resource professional with special expertise in Training and Development. Mrs. Whyte-Millingen has more than 6 years’ experience in the field and is currently employed to Serge Island Diaries Limited where she is the Human Resource Manager.

She has B.Sc. in Social Work from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus and an M.Sc. in Human Resource Development.

She enjoys gardening and reading and her philosophy is based on the Bible scripture which says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”

Claudia McLean is a Human Resource Management and Payroll Benefits Administrator with a Diploma in both Personal Management and Industrial Relations and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

She is currently the Human Resource Administration Manager at J Wray & Nephew Limited.

She also enjoys watching movies and reading, and her philosophy is that “With God all things are possible; there is no problem God cannot solve”.

Samuel Mitchell

Samuel G. Mitchell is a service driven Information Technology professional who has over 20 years broad-based experience across the spectrum of IT support and ICT projects and infrastructures. However, over the past 10 years he has focused predominantly on maintaining and supporting ICT infrastructures and overseeing the implementation of company-based network infrastructure.

He is currently employed to Digicel Jamaica where he functions in the capacity of Support Engineer. Mr. Mitchell has a B.Sc in Computing & Information Technology from the University of Technology as well as training and certification in a number of network & ICT courses.

He believes that information sharing and collaboration help to build a team. His philosophy is that “Unless the Lord builds the city, the labourer worketh in vain”.

Marlyn Moore-McKenzie

Marlyn Moore-McKenzie was born November 20, 1977, and has been a Chartered Certified Accountant since October 2016, however, she has over 15 years of accounting experience.

She worked with the Campari Gruppo in the pensions department for 5 years, then was transferred to VMBS when the fund administrator was transferred to VMBS.

She is now currently employed at Uncorked 2017 Limited as Group Administrative Manager/HR Officer. She attended the University of the West Indies where she obtained a master’s degree in business administration with a major in International Business.

She is precise in her approach to her work and is action-oriented. She is a people person, practical, fair, and empathetic. She enjoys a day at the beach alone or with family and friends.

Michelle Ambersley

Michelle Ambersley has been employed to the Credit Union movement for several years, with over 11 years of experience at the managerial level. She prides herself on being a detailed-oriented, self-motivated, and resourceful individual with a strong accounting background and a proven ability to provide key financial data and support to assist in key business decisions.

Michelle attended the Mona School of Business at the University of the West Indies and graduated with a MSc in Business Administration (International Business Management). She also holds a BSc in Business Administration (Accounting Major with a minor in marketing) from the University of Technology.

She has a passion for customer service and lives by her alma mater’s philosophy;
“Age Quod Agis – Whatever you do, do it well”.

Rohan J. Mohalland

Risk and Compliance Officer

Rohan J. Mohalland attended the University of the West Indies and graduated with a BSc in Economics. He also holds a diploma in Computer Systems Technology from the Vector Technology Institute.

He has been working in the financial industry with over five years of experience in strategic planning & research, commercial lending, risk management and compliance.

He spends his free time doing outdoor activities such as hiking, keeping up to date on the latest gadgets, reading on various topics and focusing on personal development.

He lives by his alma mater’s philosophy “Age Quod Agis – Whatever you do, do it well”

Camelia McLeish

Accountant

Camelia Mcleish joined Lascelles Employees & Partners Co-operative in July 2012 as the Assistant Accountant and was promoted in October 2018 to Accountant, where she supervises the accounting and member service departments.

Miss McLeish is a graduate of the University of Technology, Jamaica with a BBA in Business Administration with specialization in Accounting.
She is currently pursing ACCA qualifications.

She has been working in the accounting and audit profession for fourteen year with seven year in auditing prior to joining the team.

She enjoys cooking, taking long walks on the beach and playing dominoes with family and friends.

Vivene Edwards has over 35 years’ experience in the Credit Union Movement. Five (5) of which she spent as an internal Auditor at Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League (JCCUL), thirteen (13) years as an Office Supervisor at Carreras Group Limited and seventeen (17) years as a Loans Assistant at Lascelles Employees & Partners Co-operative Credit Union. 

Vivene prides herself as being a firm believer in Christ and a mature but flexible individual who pays keen attention to detail. She is also goal oriented and a team player.

Vivene is guided by this philosophy;
